This item is a Pioneer DVD-R7211 Library DVD-Burner SCSI. Of all the various computer data mass storage devices, Optical Disc storage exerts its strong points for its faster accessibility than tape media and cost effectiveness against Hard Discs. In addition, CD-R is a standard format widely supported by numerous CD-ROM drive equipped PCs. This will become the reality for DVD-R in the coming few years. With this in mind, Pioneer developed a new DVD Writer with Disk at Once, Packet Writing; the transfer rate is 1X for DVD-R Writing at 1.385 MB/Sec and 2X for DVD Reading at 2.630MB/Sec. The drive opens the way to huge capacities of 4, 7GB, 3, 95GB per side of a DVD-R disk.
